Prayer Request Needed

We are asking everyone to send up prayers for our small business in Dundee, the "Prim Shack". From the first day we opened our doors, we have done our very best to keep the Lord at the center of our business. We also have a tremendous love for what we do...Primitives and Crafting. We have been in business now for three years and always said we would give it at least three years to succeed. We also work full time for the PCSB. We have made many friendships over the past three years but lately we have struggled with the economy and a situation involving a former customer duplicating our shop just across town. We wish to continue in business but can only do this with the Lord's help and yours. We will be at PSC in October and will have our Mountain Harvest Gathering on September 18th.....also, look for our display at the Winter Haven Public Library in October and possibly November....Prim Blessings to all!

Bybee Pottery @ Prim Shack

Olde Time "Harvest Mountain" Gathering coming soon ~ September 18th

We know it seems funny already planning for the fall but when you hand craft most of the items you have to get started early.  We are already planning on some unique primitives for the fall.  Of course you can always go into a typical country primitive shop and find all of the same items that you can find on the internet BUT what makes the Prim Shack different is that we personally hand craft a lot of the things we offer.  Take a look at some of the things we have offered in the past at the shop and you can rest assure that we have some really cute, primitive things that are very different,  to get ready for  you this year at the "Harvest Mountain" Gathering.  Mark your calendars for September 18th!  You won't want to miss it!

NEW Summer Hours @ Prim Shack

Our new summer hours at the Prim Shack are, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; 10:00am to 5:00pm. We have some really cute Americana items in the shop. Also our new candle line, "Crossroads", is selling very quickly. Come in and check out this candle line, they smell really good. Of course we always have McCallscandles and tarts available. We have some really cute rusty tin tart burners in stock now. New  lap quilts are in, and area rugs, they are very primitive and selling fast.

Our "Gift of Hope" Cancer Survivor Winner

Lots of tears were shed @ the Prim Shack today.  Our winner for the "Gift of Hope" set is  Ann Marie Combs (on left). Jessica Branch (on right) came into the Prim Shack and registered for the gift set.  Jessica filled out the slip and on it she said this is for my friend who is a cancer survivor.  Jessica said, "I sure would like to win this for Ann, a really good friend of mine who was diagnosed with cancer in 2008".   Jessica's name was drawn from about 100 entries.  Ann and Jessica have known each other for about 5 years.  Through the battle of cancer , Jessica was there for Ann and they became really close.  Jessica sent lots of prayers up for Ann and on January 30, 2009, Ann was told the cancer was gone, and to make this story even sweeter it was on Jessica's birthday when Ann got the good news.  Jessica did not tell Ann about the gift set until she brought her to the Prim Shack to give it to her.  Ann was very surprised.  This is another memory at the Prim Shack that we will never forget.  Our God is an awesome God!!

The Heart of Primitive Decor @ Prim Shack

Primitive decor is becoming more and more popular.  Primitives take you back to your roots.  It is a more relaxing environment for simpler times.  Many people find that decorating their home with primitive items gives them a feeling of relaxation. It helps make their home a place to get away from a hectic day at work. The neutral rich colors give you a sense of warmth not found in other styles of decorating.

 "A Family Bound By Warm Hearts" Olde Time Primitive Arrangement

A very unique, personalized, primitive welcome light arrangement. This is one of our most popular gifts for Mother's Day. "A Family Bound By Warm Hearts" is a treasure for any home to have. Each heart is personalized with your family members name. This arrangement is showing the names of our brother's and sister's. Each heart is 2.50 (in addition to the arrangement which is 36.00) with the name hand stitched on it. This arrangement is in a 7x12 wooden box and you can choose your color. It has a 5" welcome country light with gingham tied around it and a rusty tin star.   Also on the front of the box is hand stitched the saying "Family is Forever". You may also choose "Families That Pray Together, Stay Together". If you have a favorite verse or saying we can do that for you.  Order early as we have to cut off the orders a few weeks before Mother's Day to meet the demand for them.
 
Mother's Day is May 9th. You  may also order a wreath with the family hearts on it or even a grape vine tree.  These are very special to the Mom or Grandmother as they have their family names on them.  Don't forget Grandmother, we can do these with the grandchildren names.
