Blessings at the Olde Time Spring Gathering
Today has been a really good day @ the Shack. Lots of friends came out for the Olde Time Spring Gathering. What would we do without our loyal customers and what a beautiful day for the Gathering. We have lots of out of state customers that stop by to see us when they are in Florida. It is always exciting to hear them say , we have to go to the Shack before we go back home. We would like to share some pictures of today. We are very thankful for the many blessings God always sends our way.

New Look @ Prim Shack
What in the world would we do without our husbands to help us at the Shack. Next time you visit the Prim Shack we have a new look on the outside. We are so blessed to have Godly men by our sides! When a wife has a good husband it is easily seen in her face. -- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Prim Shack's Blessings
We often reflect on our personal blessings but we never miss an opportunity to identify the things our business is grateful for.
As small business owners, we are grateful for :
This past Saturday (without mentioning any names) at the Prim Shack we had a blessing sent our way and without a doubt we knew God was present. Another blessing we remember is when we had a young girl come into the shop selling christian books and before she left, asked us if we would pray with her and she led a beautiful prayer with us. We have wonderful, dependable crafters who help us as the demand is hard for us to keep up with at the Shack. Just a few of the many blessings God has sent our way at the Prim Shack. For this we are grateful and will continue to keep God at the center of our business.
Olde Time Blessings,
Debbie & Vickie
As small business owners, we are grateful for :
revenue growth
loyal customers
customers who refer their friends and family to us
overhead costs that are remaining the same (or at least not going up)
reliable web hosting

Inspiration/Originality or Duplicating/Copying which causes Consumer Confusion
Duplicating, not creating. The all-time biggest crafting sin is duplication. Duplication is where you look for inspiration in what already exists, but - instead of using it solely for inspiration - you tweak it to what you need. This is a big no-no in creativity and crafting. By duplicating other’s work you aren’t creating, you're merely copying. Because it’s so easy to do, a lot of crafters will often duplicate work to fit their needs, rather than drawing inspiration from the techniques and pieces of other's work so they can build on it, and they miss out on creating some of their own work. Don’t duplicate work, draw inspiration from it and then create something completely different.
A crafter may say, "Oh you inspire me to craft again", but really meaning. "I want your ideas"...and instead of coming up with their own ideas they copy yours. What they don't realize is that there are infringement laws, trademark laws, copyright laws, and identity theft laws. When someone or another business chooses to copy it can cause consumer confusion which can result in a law suit.
When a person comes up with their own creations and ideas, forms their own business ideas ...another person or business should not be allowed to step in and copy. That is why it is so important to be current on business laws and retain a business attorney to protect your business.
